The adverse effects of not taking good care of the environment is being felt everywhere not only in our country alone but in the entire world as a whole. Climate change is taking a toll on the environment and in response we undertake environment conservation activities geared to mitigate this. The program activities include:
Clean up activities
Training eco-volunteers in and out of school
Tree planting exercise.
As a way of conserving the environment, TRACE partners with various stakeholders in the district to plant trees. We have planted trees to help restore Gilgil public park with the following stakeholders: Equity bank, KCB, Barclays bank, WWF, Lions Club Gilgil and the Green belt movement. We have also engaged both public and private schools in doing this and it has contributed to the restoration of the environment.
